Daily Runes - WYRD and THURISAZ

Well, we have a slight change from the usual draw today in that we have two runes for delectation.

As the first rune drawn by Little Miss this morning was WYRD, which is blank and signifies a void, I felt that a second rune should be drawn for clarification, if that was possible.

The second rune drawn by her fair hand was THURISAZ, which basically signifies protection and luck.

Looking at each rune individually, starting with WYRD, there is a sense of 'What will be, will be' which may be good or bad, depending on which runes fall into the cast with it. WYRD is technically an non-rune, possessing no markings. It is like looking into a void for answers that we cannot see, we just have to hope that Karma is smiling down on us as the results we seek come at the hand of forces beyond our control.

THURISAZ contains the glyph representing the Hammer of Thor, hence its association with protection. It is also a rune that represents luck, good or bad, as always will depend on any accompanying runes. Perhaps your current run of luck is about to change.

THURISAZ councils us to consider all options thoroughly before plunging headlong into any new venture. Don't become so complacent that you begin to expect everything to fall into your lap.

Don't forget that the Wheel of Fortune is ever turning. We must all take a turn at the top and the bottom at some point.

Reversed: THURISAZ means more or less the same as above, although where above, any obstructions experienced may be at the hands of others, here it indicates that your inability or refusal to heed and act upon good advice, may ultimately prove to be your downfall.

In conclusion, the combination of these two runes may indicate a change in fortune or a need for protection. Whether this is a positive or negative combination remains to be seen, as the presence of WYRD prevents us from seeing any clear answers. In short, everything is 'In the lap of the Gods!'
