A Three Rune Layout - Part 2

Welcome back!

The second type of interpretation for the Three Rune Layout, and the one chosen for today, is where the runes are turned and interpreted individually, from left to right.

The first, indicates the problem or situation at hand, the second indicates the course or actions open to you, and the final rune would indicate the potential outcome.

So, taking today's cast for Little Miss as an example :

First Position: The Problem at Hand.

ING is a very positive rune and indicates the end of one phase and the start of a new one. Any projects completed are sure to be successful.

(Little Miss is due to return to school after the Spring Holidays, and for a seven year old, this presents a BIG problem. No more late nights and back to early morning wake-up calls! )

Second Position: The Action.

ANSUZ indicates the acquisition of knowledge, to seek out the wisdom of others such as parent, teacher, lawyer etc.It can often represent an apprenticeship, change in career or some form of academic test or interview. Listen to advice of those in the know, and you can't go far wrong.

(For all her wishing the holidays wouldn't end, Little Miss loves going to school and is secretly getting excited. She has a natural thirst for knowledge and is constantly reading and researching things, even during the holidays.)

Third/Final Position: Potential Outcome.

EIHWAZ indicates that the goal or goals you have set are achievable and that you are well equipped to do so. Any obstacles encountered should be heeded, and are possibly only there as a 'check point' to give you time to sit back and assess that you are indeed on the right road.

(Given her enthusiasm for learning and listening to her teachers etc. I'd say she has no problems to worry about, just now. wouldn't you?)
