The Finale ...

It's been a very busy few days, here at the cauldron! Every time I tried to sit down to write this post, someone or something sought my attention. "Best laid plans..." and all that. Sometimes, you just have to go with the flow.

Carrying on from my last post, today I will shed some light onto the Ground, or casting cloth. Once again, I have included the same images for comparison.

First, I should point out, that I created this Ground, in order for Little Miss to understand how to read the Runes that are cast. The difference between a Ground and a Casting cloth, simply refers to the fact that a specific set of Runes has been "Grounded" to a specific Casting cloth.

Once this has been done, the cloth is then referred to as "The Ground" and should only be used with that set of Runes. Some say that this cloth should be white, but to be honest, in my opinion, the choice should be yours.

Whatever you feel comfortable with is fine. After all, I'm pretty sure the Ancients would not have been too concerned with the colour or type of material they cast upon. As long as it was held sacred by them, and used for the specific purpose of casting, they may have used the floor, a flat stone or even a favoured utensil, which may have been inscribed, or not, as the case maybe.

Clarification Cast

General Cast

Moving on. Starting with the center circle, and working outwards, we have:

1.The Circle of Self (S). No prizes for guessing that this deals with the sitter and their immediate situation/influences.
2.Life Path (LP) and Relationships (R). Note that this circle is not dissected ... this means that influences in these areas are fluid. Our Life Path is often influenced by our Relationships and vice-versa, so don't be surprised to find runes relating to one or other in the opposite Hemisphere.
3. The Elementals. (Water, Air, Earth and Fire) By interpreting the influences that each Element represents, we may be able to get a clearer understanding of what, or where, a given Rune is referring to.

Eg. In the General Cast, there is a grouping of Runes in the LP & R circle that are grouped under the influence of Fire. The element of Fire has many influences, it's main ones relating to creativity, enterprise, self expression and inspiration. It can often refer to work or business. Three of the Runes in the group are showing their faces, so whatever their individual interpretation is, would also be affected by the influences brought into play by Fire. In short, the area that these Runes are likely to be referring to, may well revolve around a new business venture and or creative pursuits, and that any venture is likely to succeed. Perhaps turning that hobby into a new job is a possibility, after all?

4. The Outer Circle. No obvious lines drawn here. Any Runes that fall within this area are likely to be quite distant. If known, they may indicate an influence that has already played out, and been the catalyst for the current situation, or may yet still come in to play. The distance from the Circle of Self and other Runes may clarify which is the more likely.

Well, I think that is this topic put to bed, for now at least, unless you have any questions or seek clarification. If so, please ask. Always nice to hear from you.

Blessings,

Willow
