A Very Productive Day...

Well, we couldn't sit around and let all yesterdays glorious warmth, blue skies and sunshine go to waste now, could we?

Definitely not! So as suggested in my post, yesterday, we set about the jobs that needed doing in the garden. By the time we had finished, we had transplanted two Cordalines from pots in to the border, likewise with our Lavender, Rosemary and Thyme, once they had been separated of course and the Mint was separated and re-planted into containers, to prevent it over-running everything else!

The softer herbs like, Dill and Parsley were also separated and replanted into several larger pots, giving them room to grow, as were the Strawberries and Cat Mint.

Other planters were made ready to accept seeds for Sweat Basil and Coriander and of course, we must have Sunflowers.

In addition to all of this, we also planted our potatoes, the first early crop should be ready for harvest from around June - July, with the main crop ready from August - October.

We also planted the Gooseberry bushes that we bought for Little Miss, she's so excited to finally have her own supply to look forward to, come June - July. Providing we can stop the pigeons from raiding the bushes!

And the Spring Rhubarb is coming on a treat!

We weren't the only ones making the most of the warm weather either. A large number of Tadpoles have also hatched, they have yet to venture from the safety of the clutch and head across the pond to the safety of the stone beach.

What did you do with your day?
