A New Moon marks a time for renewal and introspection, for taking on new challenges.
A New Moon Chant, or Call to the Goddess can take many forms, depending on what the specific requests may be. You will find plenty to choose from on the internet, but I always feel that in creating your own makes it that little more potent.
This one was designed to ask for strength and justice with a difficult situation, but it easily lends itself to other aspects of life, such as assisting with clearing away that which is holding us back, preventing us from achieving our full potential; whilst acknowledging the lessons learned and opening ourselves up to receive the gifts that we deserve.
Call to the Goddess
I call the Goddess of the darkest night,
though you be hidden from our sight,
bear witness to the hurt and pain
guide us to feel whole again.
Grant us strength, to carry what we must,
clarity to see all that is just,
acceptance of all lessons learned
and wisdom to know the wheel shall turn.
Unto the Goddess in her Maiden form
help lift the burden we have borne,
dis-spell all dark and negative vibes,
thus letting love and light reside.
So as the morning sun shall rise,
may we see our path through clearer eyes.
By the power held in Trinity,
whilst harming none, so mote it be.
